Fathering is a challenge. Fathers must avoid physical and verbal abuse, both of which can cause wounds that last a long time; and children who have been wounded in any way by their fathers can lean into the reality that greater than the wounding power of any earthly father is the healing power of our heavenly Father. And that power is eternal.
