More Than 65,000 attend Summit in North America

Bill Hybels, Colin Powell, Jimmy Carter, John Ortberg, and several others led the charge as The Leadership Summit 2007 inspired, informed, and trained more than 65,000 on August 9-11. And more are expected to attend the Global Leadership Summit in 29 additional countries this fall. Here’s just a sampling of feedback we received.

This has been my fifth time and it is always inspiring. It’s the best stuff I can get on Leadership. I hardly ever get touched so much by the Holy Spirit like I do at The Summit.

Dirk Walliser
Essen, Germany

I was shocked when my church asked me to attend the summit. I never considered myself a leader. Then, I felt terrible because I didn’t consider myself a leader and therefore I was a BAD leader. I was so frustrated with my life and my work that I almost backed out of the Summit … Boy was I wrong. The Leadership Summit was exactly where I needed to be!

Susan White
New Braunfels, TX

This event always challenges me to better service, inspires me, and reminds me of the significance of the servant-leader. Thanks for a powerful experience!

Roger Gossen
Enid, OK

I’m rededicating myself to be a source of inspiration in the church. The shadow mission of growth above health will not distract me. I will do what God has made me to do and operate in my giftedness and strength, so long as I have breath.

Steve Lucas
Plano, TX

My first Summit was in 2000 at a satellite location. After kicking myself last year for not coming, seeing the amazing lineup of speakers, I’ve decided to make this a “standing appointment” every year.

Marsha Vaughn
Elgin, IL

From the beginning to the end, God used point after point to identify my source of whining and redirect my focus back to vision. Questions I have been pondering were answered, weaknesses exposed, decisions confirmed, bondage surrendered … I am refreshed and inspired to press on!

Anne
Mount Joy, PA

On a leadership level, the availability of the Summit at a satellite site has made it possible for us to take 50-100 people each year. The Summit affects the culture of our church more deeply in two-and-a-half days than a “month of Sundays” can. On the personal level, the Summit has become an annual reconfirmation of my calling experience which, quite frankly, is something I need more with every accumulated year of ministry.

Jerry Boutry
San Jose, CA

I’m motivated to have an impact in my community,to live out, to reach and help transform this generation.
