WILLOW News, February 11, 2004 4,500 Attend Mel Gibson's Passion Preview at Willow Creek More than 4,500 church leaders from all across North America gathered at Willow Creek on January 20 for a preview of Mel Gibson’s upcoming movie, The Passion of the Christ. The invitation-only crowd was also treated to a one-on-one interview featuring Gibson and Bill Hybels. Hybels spent nearly an hour asking Gibson questions about his own faith as well as his rationale for creating the film. Click here to view photos of the event. Media coverage was heavy surrounding the event and Gibson’s visit. Most of the local networks reported on the subject that evening, and most of the metropolitan newspapers carried details of the event. The Passion of the Christ will open nationwide on February 25.
