One of a series of pastor's messages on what the Bible says about justice. Content is an excellent resource for pastors to use to develop their own message. Includes audio MP3 and a PDF transcript of the message.
In a world rife with injustice, what does God think of its current state? Bill Hybels is pretty succinct in answer to that question. "If you want to stir the passions and raise the ire of an indescribably just God, I have a plan for you. Ignore the poor. Neglect widows and orphans. Devalue someone with a different color skin. Turn away from the homeless, snub the hungry, stand by while innocent people are being oppressed or victimized. It really doesn't take too much to inflame the passions of God when it comes to issues pertaining to justice." Bill's message gets even more specific regarding the economic and racial injustices that continue to plague our world, and the Biblical responses and directives of our absolutely just God.
