Wonderfully Made

A creative interpretation of Psalm 139's statement of how God knits us together in our mother's womb and has a plan for our life. We see a child, Elizabeth, assigned qualities by God while in her mother's womb. She is to be a dancer, a left-handed painter, an introvert, and strong-willed. She knows she is loved and made just right, however, once she is born, these feelings change because her parents' aspirations for her are quite different than what she was "told" in the womb. Her father replaces ballet shoes with soccer shoes. Her mother makes her keep her left hand behind her back so that her penmanship doesn't look funny. Their "redirection" through the years physically and emotionally stifles who Elizabeth was meant to be, and she grows up a very sad and confused child.
