| Welcome to the Good $ense website. It's designed to help
leaders in the local church build thriving stewardship ministries.
Please let us know how we can serve you.
Description
Good
$ense is a financial stewardship ministry based in the local
church. It supports the pastor in the often difficult ministry
of encouraging the congregation to honor God with their money
and possessions. In the process, money is removed as a rival
god and as a barrier to spiritual growth – we call it transformational
stewardship. Click here to

of stewardship.
Vision
Our
vision is that there will come a day when it is normative
for the local church to have a financial stewardship ministry
that teaches, trains and supports its members in biblical
stewardship. As a result, the members will experience spiritual,
emotional and relational joy and freedom.
Our
desire is that Good $ense will play a major role in bringing
that day to pass.
Mission
Our mission is to
empower local church leadership to implement and sustain year-round,
biblically based, financial stewardship ministries that facilitate
spiritual growth and financial freedom.
We carry out that
mission primarily through the creation of stewardship resources
and offering support and encouragement to those utilizing
the resources.
Values
Our core values, built
into the Good $ense resources are:
- Biblically
based – not just by making reference to a bible
verse here and there but by showing how biblical principles
can be deeply integrated into our day-to-day financial lives.
- Transformational
– the goal of the resources is first and foremost
to change the heart, recognizing that lasting
behavior change will flow out of heart change.
- Local
church owned and delivered – our desire is to provide
you with quality resources that you embrace and deliver.
We are available for support and encouragement but we wish
to empower you to do the ministry. Our resources are flexible
and can be delivered in a variety of ways to suit
your church culture.
- Culturally
relevant and easily understood – the resources
speak to today's realities and address the day-to-day situations
in which people find themselves in relevant ways. Knowing
that many people find finances to be a difficult subject,
great care has been taken to present topics in easy to understand
ways.
- Cost
effective – once the initial leadership materials
have been acquired, the only on-going cost is for Participant
Guides, priced to allow the church to pass the cost on to
participants if they select to do so.
