Service Description: The apostle Peter—so sure of his commitment to Jesus, speaking his words of conviction that even if he had to die with Jesus, he would never deny him. Of course, shortly thereafter Peter couldn’t stay awake to pray for Jesus in the Garden and his next step down a spiritually broken road was denying to the enemy that he knew Jesus. Those of us who have ever failed relationally, morally, or spiritually—and that pretty much includes all of us—have traveled that same broken road. But as with Peter, the spiritually broken road can bring us to a place of blessing if we’ll humbly receive the healing grace provided by Jesus, who rose from the dead so all the failures in our past and in our future can be forgotten.
