Frequently Asked Questions
What are the admission requirements?
A completed second year of college, a committed Christian walk and a hunger to know more about the Willow Creek Association.
How is a WCA Internship different from a Willow Creek Community Church internship?
WCA Internships focus on ministry in a business, not-for-profit setting. Training is in areas such as marketing, communications or public relations. Willow Creek Community Church internships are training for vocational ministry.
How are interns supervised?
Each department has a director who is responsible for the overall experience for the intern, but an intern works and is guided by the entire team on projects.
Can I get credit for my internship?
Students set up credit with their college/university prior to their internship. The WCA can then complete any necessary paperwork or meetings to assure credit is received.
Where do interns live during the ten weeks?
Interns are responsible for finding their own housing in the Chicagoland area. The Willow Creek Association is unable to provide housing.
Am I required to attend Willow Creek Community Church during the summer?
Although we highly encourage soaking up all Willow Creek has to offer during the 10 weeks, it is not a requirement.
