The Global Leadership Summit 2009 Prayer Requests
Between September 21, 2009 and January 21, 2010, leaders around the world will be attending the 157 Global Leadership Summit events. Please detach this prayer sheet and post it where you will be reminded to pray for the very real needs detailed below. On the other side you’ll also find a full listing of GLS cities and dates, so you can pray specifically for the leaders in each city as they convene.
Pray for transcendent, transformational holy moments in which all attendees are moved with an unmistakable, breathtaking sense of God’s presence and direction.
Pray that each site would draw churches of every denomination, ethnicity, and culture from its region, creating an enduring sense of community.
Pray for protection for those who come through dangerous territories to reach the GLS closest to them. Some are traveling more than three days to attend.
Pray for the staff and volunteer teams in Brazil who are increasing from 10 to 20 sites in 2009. Pray for countries hosting their first GLS.
Pray for leaders from countries in which Christians are persecuted, including the Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union) whose 2009 participation is at risk due to persecution and closing of the church.
Pray for wisdom and vision for the advance teams traveling to observe a GLS in preparation for launching events in their own countries in 2010.
Pray for additional needed funds to be raised.
As you pray for the work of the GLS, you can find updated reports online:
