The church is the hope of the world … Here at the Willow Creek Association we believe that to the core of our being. It's why we exist. If you've been around us much you also know our strategy—change a leader … change a church … change a church … change a community … and eventually the world! The commitment to that strategy compelled us to create The Leadership Summit 13 years ago. Since then, it's become an integral tool for like-minded churches and ministries who believe in this cause. This year we have strengthened this vision through a special relationship with Compassion International, one of the world's preeminent evangelical child development ministries.

Compassion International understands that to implement a great child development program, they require powerful, effective churches in the impoverished communities of the world where they serve. Churches that are led by visionary indigenous pastors. That's why over the years they have shared the vision of The Leadership Summit with the WCA and enabled thousands of church pastors in the developing world to attend The Global Leadership Summit.

And now we are honored to have Compassion underwrite the expansion of The Leadership Summit to dozens of global venues where we've never been before. Compassion's heart beats for the child in dire circumstances, but they are also passionate for the churches that serve them.
