Hands-On Breakouts

These extended classes are designed to take you beyond theory and give you hands-on experience with equipment designed to enhance your worship experiences. You will have the opportunity to work with the equipment, developing your skills and broadening your knowledge in video, lighting and audio.

Choosing a Hands-On Experience will take the place of some or all of your Thursday breakouts; depending on the classes you select. See the classes and times below.

There is an add-on charge for these classes; a half-day class (AM or PM) add-on is $79 for WCA members, $99 for non-members.

All Hands-On Experiences take place at the Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center. The sessions at the Renaissance include lunch with the add-on fee. Transportation between Willow and the Renaissance will not be offered. You will need to plan for your own ride between the hotel and Willow Creek.

Great lighting makes for great images that can change the overall impact of a video. From lighting the talent, to lighting the background, this breakout will teach you the fundamentals to great lighting for video. Whether you are lighting an interview, shooting on green screen or "person on the street' videos; whichever video format you chose to shoot on, this session will have you lighting your videos at the next level.
