A big part of the Arts Conference has always been the interaction between artists from across the country and around the world—men and women who share the same ministry goals, who wouldn't otherwise connect. That's why we've developed great opportunities for you and your team to network with other people that help create and pull together Sunday services.
Conversations offer a more intimate setting to interact as up to seven conference guests join 40+ different facilitators for informal question and answer sessions throughout the day on Thursday and before the final sessions on Friday. There's no additional cost, but availability is extremely limited.
If you are a teaching pastor or leading the arts, worship, and programming team at your church, the Point Leader Sessions are a feature of the Arts Conference that you don't want to miss. If you're leading the arts/worship/programming team at your church, these premium Point Leader Sessions provide you with the opportunity to connect with 50 or fewer people under the teaching of a nationally recognized leader. With one morning and one afternoon session, you can either attend two different point leader sessions or combine the point leader experience with other Breakouts or the Learning Expo. There is an additional charge for each Point Leader Session, but we think you'll find the experience is well worth the cost.
A new feature at the Arts Conference this year is Masters Classes. These breakout options offer you the opportunity to learn from professionals in different areas of expertise in a small, hands-on setting that will take your knowledge and skills to the next level. Since these classes include transport or set up of expensive equipment, they do require an additional charge for each participant. But for a small added cost, you'll receive high-quality instruction in a small setting that you can't usually find at a worship and arts conference.
The Learning Expo is a great place to network with other church artists that are facing the same challenges you are. Vendors like Clear-Com, Sensaphonics, DPA, and Gepco will have their latest products to show you, giving you a chance to learn from the people that know this equipment inside and out. And while you're there, you'll meet other technical artists or musicians that are doing the same thing you are. Who knows? You might make an important connection with someone that could last throughout the year.
Another great place for networking is in the 120 Skill Based Breakouts. In these smaller environments, you'll learn from church arts leaders and experts from all over the country and connect with other artists who share your interests. Breakout categories include Creativity in Action, Creating Services, Technical Arts, Drama, Teaching, Visual Arts, Dance, Life Beyond Sunday, and Worship and Music. Although most topic areas have options for all four sessions, you do not have to stay in one category of breakouts. In other words, you can mix and match among all breakouts to design the day that perfectly meets your specific role and training needs. Click here to find out about all the breakout options.
