Tammy Melchien

Tammy Melchien serves as the Kids’ City Champion at Community Christian Church in Naperville, Illinois, a multi-site church with nine locations in the Chicago area, serving over 1,200 kids each week during 18 services. She also plays a role for New Thing Network, an organization that has helped dozens of churches go multi-site and planted churches in places such as Denver, New York City, Boston, Detroit, and Knoxville. Holding an undergraduate degree in education and a graduate degree in counseling, Tammy worked for six years in campus ministry at Eastern Illinois University. After moving to Chicago and agreeing to “fill in” a vacant Kids’ City role, Tammy soon learned that her passion for spiritual formation and leadership development could actually make a difference in the complex, crazy, creative world of kids' ministry.
