Q. How many years of Early Childhood Curriculum have been published? TOP >
A. Currently, we have two complete years (52 weeks of lessons each) for ages 3-5 available.
Q. If I buy the kit, will I have to buy additional items? TOP >
A. The kit provides all necessary lesson and application materials, along with reproducible artwork and child take-home sheets. Seven sound effects CDs and a Christmas music sampler CD are also included. We strongly recommend that you purchase the two other music CDs referred to in the curriculum (Reach Up High and Touch the Sky), along with copies of The Beginner’s Bible. The visuals contained on the CD-ROMs are also available for purchase in a Visuals Masters Pack. Some pages will still need to be reproduced where quantities are necessary, ie. child take-home sheets and stickers.
Q. How many kids will the kit serve? TOP >
A. Because all materials are on CD, a single kit will serve a Sunday School class of five children or a large children’s ministry with hundreds of preschoolers. Simply make as many copies of the materials as you need.
Q. Is everything reproducible? TOP >
A. Yes! All materials for Activity Stations, Kid Connection, Large Group, and Small Group are reproducible. Because everything is on CD, you may also e-mail lessons, unit overviews, artwork, etc. to your volunteers and leaders.
Q. How many people are needed to implement the curriculum? TOP >
A. Jumping into God's Story provides two complete sets of lessons in Large Group/Small Group format and Sunday School format. Using the Sunday School lessons, this curriculum may be implemented with a single classroom Teacher and a Helper. The Large Group/Small Group model requires several more volunteers, depending on the size of your children’s ministry. We suggest an Administrator, a Large Group Teacher, and one Small Group leader for every 8-10 kids. Depending on the size of your ministry, you may wish to add additional volunteers for a production team and to support your Administrator.
Q. Do I have to choose whether to purchase the Large Group/Small Group model or the traditional Sunday School lessons? TOP >
No. The curriculum kit includes a complete set of lessons for BOTH models on CD-ROM. You may choose to use either set of lessons or to begin with one set and transition to the other. (For instance, if you currently use a Sunday School format, but wish to make a gradual transition to a Large Group/Small Group format.)
Q. What is the difference between the Large Group/Small Group lessons and the Sunday School lessons? TOP >
A. Both sets of lessons follow the exact same Scope & Sequence, including Bible story, key concept, and objectives. In the Sunday School lessons, Large Group and Small Group have been streamlined into a single lesson with a Creative Bible Teaching time and Life Application Activity. Though the same creative teaching techniques are used, the method is simplified so that is can be done in a small classroom setting with a single Teacher. Both sets of lessons use the same high-quality artwork and sound effects.
