As The Leadership Summit expanded into the developing world, we were compelled by God to do our part in addressing the two most critical issues facing leaders in those regions—extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Given WCA's commitment to remain focused on leadership development, we decided to partner with two global, evangelical, proven ministries being called to address these complex challenges. Our partnership with Compassion International is centered on mobilizing the church to release children and leaders from poverty in Jesus' name, while our partnership with World Vision is centered on mobilizing the church in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Compassion International

Compassion International understands that to implement a great child development program, they require powerful, effective churches in the developing world - churches that are led by visionary indigenous pastors. That's why Willow Creek Association is honored to partner with Compassion to expand The Leadership Summit to dozens of global venues where we've never been before. Compassion's heart beats for the child in dire circumstances, but they are also passionate for the churches that serve them.

World Vision

Since 1990, World Vision has been leading the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Today their work continues in AIDS-affected communities in 60 countries, including most of sub-Saharan Africa. World Vision is helping expand The Leadership Summit into many of these countries – where new leaders will engage in the fight to end the greatest humanitarian crises in recorded history. That’s why Willow Creek Association is pleased to join World Vision as together we harness the power of local churches everywhere, by providing tools to people on the frontlines of the battle – those who provide hope and compassion to people infected with HIV/AIDS every day.
